Playoff Monday

Allen Muir posted his season awards today, giving a nod to one Wings player. And no it's not who you would think....it's the Wings own little speedster Brett Lebda for his hip check on Cal Clutterbuck. Whenever I hear the last name Clutterbuck I immediately morph into a 9 year old boy and began giggling uncontrollably thinking of words that rhyme with Clutterbuck....you try.



I almost forgot about this...but it just shows what a turn around season Brett Lebda has had. He Went from the depths of despair and a minus 351 start to a relatively strong season where he has passed simply not being a liability, and become a relatively strong player.

Ok, so the rest of the day I am promising to be positive...which may mean I don't post anymore. But Ansar Khan has a nice write up about how the wings aren't worried about their dismal seasons end, and feel as though they will be ready for the playoffs....that's good right?

Dangle Dangle had this to say:

"Every end of the season, we have small down (time)," Pavel Datsyuk said. "After we're down, we just keep going -- build, build, build. I think we're ready to go."

So that's promising? Unless they just couldn't figure out what he was actually saying....

Other positive news:

"Babcock said he "would be shocked" if forwards Marian Hossa (pulled groin) and Kris Draper (upper-body injury) did not practice Tuesday and play in Game 1."

Far be it for me to EVER disagree with Babcock but I am wondering if he was actually watching all of the game on Sunday...or if he was like everyone else and drifted drunkenly in and out...

Babcock called Ericsson "our best player" on Sunday.
